Spurred on by Mojo (who in turn was spurred on by Alanis Morissette) to try intervals today.
Tied on the new shoes and did 2 minutes @ 5.5 mile / min. + 1 minute @ 3.5 mile / min. intervals.
Bored silly at first but once the right shin and foot loosened up and I got into the routine of it, it was great!
Learned today that I can manage the 11 minute / mile pace for a few minutes at a time. Will try to target that pace for longer periods. Very good running day.
